The Pathway of Patriots will consist of meandering paths throughout Centennial Park. The pathway will feature a number of interesting art features depicting the rich history of Fort Jackson and the U.S. Armed Forces. Some of the proposed features are tributes honoring the Medal of Honor, the Purple Heart, POW/MIAs and Tank Hill, the storied training area of Fort Jackson.
Also embedded in the pathway will be granite cenotaphs honoring those men and women inducted into the Fort Jackson Hall of Fame and a “Walk of Honor” featuring bricks engraved with the names and personal/military service information of military and civilian Centennial Park donors.
